Hello, I'm Filippo Livorno!

Entrepreneur 👨‍💼

Hello 👋
welcome to my personal site.
I am a Mountain Guide, entrepreneur and self-taught web developer.
After quitting my safe 9-5 job at a bank, I've pursued my dreams and spent many years guiding clients on top of high mountains in the Alps and around the whole world, from the Himalayas to Patagonia (see pics 📷).
Along the way, I discovered I love coding and building stuff, finding myself (often at night time 😴) trying to learn on Codecademy, Udemy or on Techcrunch reading fascinating stories of tech entrepreneurs.
After the birth of my 2 kids 👧👦 (and the loss of some close friends along the way), I realized that mountain guiding alone was too dangerous with a family to back.
So, I co-founded a tech startup (since building a company is very much similar to climb a mountain - but with far fewer risks). After successfully growing it with a strong focus on profitability, it has been acquired, in September 22, by one of the major martech companies in Italy, Advice Group, backed by Metrika fund.
These days, I'm still trying to learn something new every day. Plenty of ideas for new companies to build, of mountains to be climbed. But, most importantly, I'm trying to have fun along the way!
