Hello, I'm Filippo Livorno!

Hello 👋

welcome to my personal site.

I am a Mountain Guide and entrepreneur.

After quitting my safe 9-to-5 job at a bank in my mid-20s, I decided to pursue my dreams, became a professional Mountain Guide and spent many years guiding clients on top of high mountains in the Alps and around the whole world, from the Himalayas to Patagonia.

Along the way, I discovered I love coding and building stuff, finding myself (often at night time 😴) learning on coding platforms or reading fascinating stories of tech entrepreneurs on TechCrunch.

After the birth of my 2 kids 👧👦 (and the loss of some close friends along the way), I realized that mountain guiding alone was too dangerous with a family to back.

So, I co-founded a tech startup (since building a company is very much similar to climbing a mountain - but with far fewer risks). After successfully bootstrapping it to millions in revenue and a very healthy EBITDA, it has been acquired, in 2022, by one of the major martech companies in Italy.

These days, I'm enjoying life: growing my Mountain Guiding agency, launching my next tech company, trying to learn something new every day. But, most importantly, I'm still trying to have fun along the way!
